      Hey Felicity, I’m glad it could be useful. Doing it solo should be fine, I met several solo hikers on the trail, guys and girls. Just make sure you take an FPS beacon and sat phone in case of emergency.

    Did you use your waterproof pants?
    I’m planning this hike for next year and now working on my packing list but l don’t have them on it.

      No, I did not need them. There was only one day during the walk that felt like it might rain. It didn’t and it was just extra weight. I was fairly new to hiking back then.
